The First Term Has Ended

It’s a tricky one to put into words. The first eight weeks of my first term have finally finished. I say finally, they’ve flown by and it doesn’t seem like last week we were all new to each other forgetting names. (OK, OK, so I’m still forgetting names even now, but only because there are so many!) But despite the term flying by, summer seems but a hazy memory in the distant past. I can’t adjust to this time dilation malarkey; it’s just too tricky to figure out.

Nevertheless, lectures have been over for the term since Thursday, and the deadlines stopped on Thursday as well as I had a supervision, a lab report to submit and a German oral. Oh the fun!!!

With the end of term though, the parties really do kick in, and we celebrated in style with Indie in d’ bar, Drink the Bar Dry and just a general party night as well. That explains why it’s taken me so very long to get this post finally up and ready for you lot to read.

I return to magnificent Manchester and brilliant Bolton on Sunday 11th December, for those who might be interested. Although, to cheer you up a little, I have a sack of work to do as well over the short 5 week break, so feel free to have a laugh at my expense.

To wrap up, before another night of socialising and drunken fun, I was disgusted at the news from home when I got a phone call from Mr Clarke late on last night. A quick poll of the room saw a unanimous vote that the behaviour of one Mr Paddon was despicable and I think that says more than enough, really.

To all those still away, enjoy the end. The relieved feeling is fantastic, the partying is hard and fast and the pleasure from finishing is immense.

See you all soon. Within the month, in fact!

Paul
