Introductory Course

As most of you well know, I've been called down early for an extra
introductory engineering course, involving arriving four days early
for what I assumed to be a spot of teambuilding and fun! Little did I
know...

It turns out to be a full-on full-blown four day course of near solid
lectures and work! What's going on? We even have a robot building
competition by the looks of it! Now, if only I had any knowledge of
robots, robot making and electronics! The fact that I'm off to uni to
work, hard, has just hit me hard in the face, and I don't really like
it any more!

This could be more interesting than I first considered.

Paul, don't worry about how full on the whole introduction thing may be on paper or at least appear in general...you'll be fine and I hope you enjoy that headstart you get from all of the other freshers. Hey it gives you some knowledge of where some places are located and such like that you can help the new people around!

I don't think that made sense so I'll use an example. One of my flatmates, named Josh, is doing a geography course similar to the great Mr Clarke and is off already on a field trip to Derby during his Freshers' week. I'll ask him how it goes but the point is that others may also have similar hectic schedules at the beginning but I am sure it'll give you that head-start as I say.
